It’s a fragile balance, but so far, the deal between OPEC and Russia to limit crude oil exports is working to support a higher price for crude on the global market. OPEC reported roughly 80% compliance with the deal from its member companies in January, which for OPEC, is a very high percentage historically. Russia claims full compliance with its commitment to reduce its exports by 300,000 barrels of oil per day.
